£5m Marine Licence Application for Repairs to Dragon LNG Jetty in Pembrokeshire
Dragon LNG has submitted a marine licence application to Natural Resources Wales for a proposed £5 million repair scheme at its jetty in the Milford Haven Waterway, Pembrokeshire. The application, facilitated by agent Haskoning UK Ltd, is open for representations until January 9.
The project, which aims to address potential issues with the jetty's concrete roadway, is expected to include inspections and repairs over a four-year period, scheduled from May to September during low shipping times. The inspection will involve constructing a temporary access system and using visual assessments and 'hammer tests' to evaluate the concrete’s condition.
The repair process will involve removing deteriorated concrete and pouring new concrete in small sections, with protective coatings applied afterward. The total area for repair is approximately 3,000 square meters.
