63rd Mechanised Brigade's Unmanned Systems Battalion Achieves Top Ranking in UAV Operations
At the Army of Drones awards ceremony, the 63rd Mechanised Brigade's unmanned systems battalion was recognized for its achievements, with battalion commander Lieutenant Oleh Liashko accepting the award. The battalion ranked 5th in occupiers killed, achieving 1st among individual battalions.
The 'Archi' crew set a record with 589 enemy kills and received the Order of Courage. The battalion operated without additional budget funding, relying on local and private support, yet delivered superior results compared to better-funded units.
Effective combat formations and support of the Lyman direction enhanced their operational effectiveness. To maintain battlefield superiority and counter Russian offensives, recommendations include integrating UAVs into infantry brigades, emphasizing cooperation with ground troops, and ensuring targeted funding for UAV units on the frontline.
