76 Rosetti Well Hits 5,256 Metres, Projected to Contribute 4% to National Gas Production
The 76 Rosetti well has reached a depth of 5,256 metres and is set for production in Q2 2026, contributing 4% to Romania's gas output for winter 2026-2027. The Caragele deposit, key for SNGN Romgaz, will see continued investment and infrastructure expansion amid technical challenges in deep drilling.

The 76 Rosetti well, part of the Caragele project, has reached a depth of 5,256 metres and is expected to commence production in the second quarter of 2026. The Caragele deposit is anticipated to account for approximately 4% of Romania's total national natural gas production during winter 2026-2027.
SNGN Romgaz plans to drill 10 additional deep wells, evaluating existing hydrocarbon accumulations and searching for new ones. In 2026, two more wells are expected to be operational, alongside a planned investment of 250 million lei.
Production infrastructure will be expanded to accommodate future extraction volumes, with an upgrade project for processing capabilities set for completion by Q2 2027. Technical difficulties in deep drilling may impact future operations.
