ABB Invests 100 Million PLN in Przasnysz Factory Expansion
ABB is investing approximately 100 million PLN to expand and modernize its facility in Przasnysz, Poland, aimed at producing medium-voltage switchgear and enhancing energy infrastructure. The project will create over 200 jobs and is part of a broader $200 million European investment program to boost production capacity across multiple countries.

ABB plans to invest about 100 million PLN in its Przasnysz facility, which manufactures medium-voltage switchgear for energy networks and data centers. This expansion includes launching a new production line that will operate without SF6 gas, addressing environmental concerns.
By the end of 2027, the factory is expected to employ over 500 workers. The investment is part of ABB's European program worth $200 million, which encompasses additional facilities in Norway, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, and Finland.
The initiative aims to meet the growing demand for flexible and secure energy infrastructure, particularly in light of the projected increase in electricity's share of global energy consumption to nearly 30% by 2030. The new systems produced will support AI infrastructure and data centers, with the first target market being the United States. The factory will also implement further automation, including robotic welding stations and autonomous vehicles for logistics, enhancing operational efficiency.
