ABC Water and Stormwater District Approves Drinking Water Line in Canfield Township
The ABC Water and Stormwater District approved a drinking water line extension in Canfield Township, extending 6,500 feet from South Turner and Gibson roads to beyond Herbert Road. Funded by a $1 million grant from the Army Corps and a $325,000 local match, the project aims to provide potable water to undeveloped areas. The City of Youngstown Water Department will service the line. The board also approved contracts for other engineering projects in Canfield.

The ABC Water and Stormwater District approved a 6,500-foot drinking water line extension in Canfield Township at a meeting on Tuesday. The project, funded by a $1 million Army Corps grant and a $325,000 local match, aims to provide potable water to undeveloped areas.
The City of Youngstown Water Department will service the line. Board members discussed compliance with Army Corps requirements and ensured the project was funded appropriately. Additionally, the board approved contracts for engineering projects along South Turner Road and curb and gutter replacements in Westbury Park as part of the 2026 paving program.
