Acciona and Ignis Partner for Data Center Expansion and 2GW Development
Acciona has acquired a 50% stake in Ignis's Epta data center to boost its data center portfolio and achieve 2GW capacity. This move aligns with Acciona's strategy to invest in renewable energy and expand in key markets including Spain, Brazil, the USA, Italy, and the Philippines.

Acciona has obtained a 50% interest in the Epta data center from Ignis, facilitating joint management of the facility located in Segovia, Spain. This acquisition is part of Acciona's strategy to enhance its project portfolio and reach a target of 2GW.
Additionally, both companies have jointly acquired an adjacent photovoltaic plant to ensure renewable energy supply for the data center. Acciona plans to grow in Spain and other priority markets, with current investments in Spain amounting to €312 million.
Until recently, data center projects were managed solely under Acciona's construction sector, but now a dedicated unit, Acciona Data Centers, has been established. Ignis is positioning itself for growth in the data center sector as it prepares for an upcoming IPO, appealing to investors with its growth potential in Spain.
