Acre has been included in the New Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), focusing on modernizing disaster monitoring through Cemaden. Ten out of 212 municipalities in this phase will be equipped with rain gauges and tools for real-time flood and landslide monitoring.

The program has a federal investment of R$ 50 million dedicated to equipment acquisition, a new data center, and expanding technological infrastructure. The aim is to improve monitoring in all disaster-prone municipalities in Brazil by the end of 2026, with Acre and Amazonas each monitoring ten municipalities, while Rondônia monitors seven.
