ACWA Power's renewable ammonia project, the Garuda Green Hydrogen (GH2) project in Indonesia, is set to begin commercial operations in 2026. Developed in partnership with state-owned PT PLN and fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia, the project aims to support Indonesia's transition into large-scale green hydrogen production.

It will utilize solar and wind power with a total capacity of 600 megawatts, producing up to 150,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually, with an estimated value of $1 billion. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to clean energy and follows recent global discussions on renewable energy at the G20. The project positions Indonesia as a leader in Southeast Asia's green hydrogen market.
