Adani Group and Embraer to Establish Regional Jet Assembly Line in India

DEFENSE

Adani Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brazilian aerospace company Embraer to establish a final assembly line (FAL) for regional jets in India. This initiative aims to leverage opportunities in the Indian aviation market, with Embraer setting up an office in New Delhi in October 2025.

Currently, Embraer operates nearly 50 aircraft in India, serving the Indian Air Force and other sectors. The establishment of the FAL aligns with the Indian government's 'Make In India' initiative, as there are currently no FALs for civilian aircraft in the country.

Embraer also plans to strengthen its presence in various aviation segments, including commercial and defense. In 2024, Embraer Defense & Security and Mahindra Defence Systems signed an MoU to explore collaboration on the Indian Air Force's Medium Transport Aircraft programme.
