Adecoagro to Acquire Caarapó Mill for R$760 Million in Mato Grosso do Sul
Adecoagro S.A. has agreed to purchase the Caarapó Mill from Raízen Group for R$760 million ($148 million). This acquisition aligns with Adecoagro's strategy to expand its operations in Mato Grosso do Sul, enhancing its sugar and ethanol production capacity.

Adecoagro S.A. plans to acquire the Caarapó Mill in Mato Grosso do Sul from Raízen Group for R$760 million, aimed at enhancing its Sugar, Ethanol, and Energy operations. The mill processed about 3.5 million tons of sugarcane during the 2025/26 harvest season and has the capability to produce sugar, hydrous and anhydrous ethanol, and renewable energy.
The acquisition will be funded in cash upon closing, expected before October 1, 2026, pending approval from the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense. This move is anticipated to enhance operational synergies and reinforce Adecoagro's low-cost production model, while also being accretive to Adjusted EBITDA from the start.
