ADNOC Gas and Hindustan Petroleum Sign $3 Billion LNG Supply Agreement
ADNOC Gas has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited valued at $2.5 to $3 billion for a 10-year period, covering the supply of 0.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG. This agreement, announced during a visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India, converts a prior Heads of Agreement into a long-term contract.
By 2029, ADNOC Gas plans to operate 15.6 MTPA of LNG capacity, with 3.2 MTPA contracted to Indian companies. The LNG will be sourced from ADNOC’s Das Island facility, which has a capacity of up to 6 mtpa. This deal enhances ADNOC Gas' role as a reliable LNG supplier to India, which has become the UAE's largest LNG customer, contributing to a total of over $20 billion in contracts with Indian entities in the past 24 months.
