Adriatic LNG Increases Regasification Capacity to 9.5 Bn m³/year with 2025 Upgrade

Adriatic LNG announced an upgrade to its terminal's regasification capacity, achieving a constant capacity of 9.5 billion m³ per year starting in 2026. In 2025, the terminal injected 8.2 billion m³ of natural gas into Italy's grid, covering more than 13% of national demand, despite a one-month maintenance shutdown.

The terminal received 71 LNG carriers in 2025, mostly from Qatar and the United States, with additional shipments from North Africa and South America. The terminal is noted as the only one in Italy capable of receiving Q-Flex LNG vessels.
