Aerium and Horizon Aerobotics will open an operations center at Johnstown-Cambria County Airport, bringing approximately 250 high-skilled jobs. Horizon Aerobotics will establish its U.S. Remote Operations Center at the airport, supporting autonomous drone operations.
The partnership includes collaboration with St. Francis University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown to develop training programs. The companies aim to evaluate autonomous drones for various applications, including disaster response and public safety, contributing to the region's economic development in aviation.
