AeroVironment Inc. launched the Mission Specialist Wraith, an unmanned underwater vehicle from its subsidiary VideoRay. The vehicle features six-degree-of-freedom maneuverability with 10 thrusters, capable of 80 pounds of thrust.

It can stabilize in strong currents and support various payloads for subsea inspection and defense. The Wraith is built on an open-architecture design for rapid reconfiguration. The Expeditionary configuration is the first in a series planned to enhance depth, payload, and endurance capabilities.
