AFSOUTH Enhances Argentine Air Force F-16 Integration via Peace Condor Program
Air Forces Southern (AFSOUTH) conducted a knowledge exchange with the Argentine air force from January 6-9, 2026, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, to support the Peace Condor program. This initiative aids the integration of six newly acquired F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft into the FAA. The partnership focuses on developing sustainable operational capabilities, including aerospace medicine and combat search and rescue, to enhance regional security and pilot safety.

U.S. mentorship is helping the FAA develop operational plans and sustain the aircraft. The exchange highlighted sustainable capabilities in aerospace medicine and operational readiness. The 305th Rescue Squadron showcased CSAR capabilities, essential for pilot survivability.
The Georgia National Guard's State Partnership Program contributed expertise in flight medicine. The FAA also visited Morris Air National Guard Base for F-16 pilot training.
