Agincourt Resources Granted Approval to Resume Operations at Martabe Gold Mine in Indonesia
Agincourt Resources has received approval from Indonesia's environmental ministry to resume operations at its Martabe gold mine, which had been suspended since December due to environmental breach accusations. The mine was among 28 firms sanctioned for contributing to environmental damage related to last year's floods in Sumatra. Preparations for operations are underway, and the company is committed to adhering to environmental safety standards. Another firm, PT North Sumatra Hydro Energy, has also been permitted to resume operations.

Agincourt Resources has been authorized by Indonesia's environmental ministry to resume operations at its Martabe gold mine, suspended since December due to environmental breach claims. The mine's permit was revoked alongside 27 other companies after accusations of causing environmental damage linked to significant flooding in Sumatra that resulted in over 1,200 fatalities.
Agincourt is preparing to restart operations while ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Additionally, PT North Sumatra Hydro Energy has also received the green light to resume operations on its hydropower project, valued at over $1.6 billion, expected to commence in October.
