AGRIST Advances North American Market Entry for Agricultural Robotics
AGRIST, a Japan-based agri-tech startup, is accelerating partnerships in North America, focusing on greenhouse automation. This strategic move responds to global agricultural challenges including labor shortages and food security concerns.

AGRIST Inc., based in Shintomi, Miyazaki Prefecture, is enhancing its presence in North America by establishing partnerships with local companies and investors. The startup showcased its harvesting robots at the 'U.S.-Japan Innovation in Agri-Tech and AI' event in California, highlighting its digital transformation approach in greenhouse horticulture.
Since 2019, AGRIST has developed solutions to address Japan's agricultural labor shortages, which are also prevalent in the U.S. and Asia. With global food security concerns rising, AGRIST aims to leverage the 'J-Startup' program and the Japan Innovation Campus in Silicon Valley for strategic market research and collaboration. This expansion could reshape agricultural practices by introducing advanced robotics to diverse farming environments.
