Air Commodore BS Vijay Rao Takes Command of Palam Base Repair Depot in New Delhi
Air Commodore B.S. Vijay Rao has assumed command as Air Officer Commanding of the Base Repair Depot in Palam, New Delhi, effective March 1. He has over 30 years of service in the Indian Air Force, specializing in Aeronautical Engineering. Concurrently, the Southern Air Command conducted a joint maritime exercise, 'Kalari Leap,' involving various operations and support from the Indian Coast Guard on February 24.

Air Commodore B.S. Vijay Rao took command of the Base Repair Depot, Palam, New Delhi, as of March 1. He was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on November 27, 1995, and has over three decades of experience.
His qualifications include an Electrical Engineering degree and an Executive MBA. Concurrently, the Southern Air Command executed 'Kalari Leap,' a joint maritime exercise with the Armed Forces Special Operations Division and Indian Coast Guard on February 24. The exercise involved aerial operations with assets like An-32, Mi-17 V5, and Su-30MKI, and included a Mass Casualty Management drill.
