Air Products Secures US$1bn Investment Agreement for Uzbekistan Gas Processing Facility
Air Products & Chemicals Inc. has entered into a US$1bn investment agreement with the Uzbekistan government and Uzbekneftegaz JSC for a natural gas-to-syngas processing facility in Qashqadaryo Province. This facility is part of a larger GTL project, producing 1.5 million tonnes of synthetic fuels annually. The agreement includes the acquisition and operation of air separation and hydrogen production units, with Air Products supplying various gases and UNG providing natural gas feedstock.

Air Products & Chemicals Inc. has secured a US$1bn investment agreement with the Government of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz JSC for a natural gas-to-syngas processing facility in Qashqadaryo Province. This facility, part of a multi-billion GTL project, is expected to produce 1.5 million tonnes per year of synthetic fuels. Under a long-term contract signed on May 25, Air Products will acquire and operate air separation and hydrogen production units, supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and syngas, while UNG will provide natural gas feedstock and utilities.
