CIBiogás Marks 15 Years of Biogas Innovation and Accreditation
CIBiogás, celebrating 15 years in biogas projects, achieves a decade of accreditation for methane potential testing. With over 1,700 operational plants producing 4.96 billion Nm³ annually, the organization emphasizes the significance of technical intelligence in decision-making for the growing biogas sector in Brazil.

CIBiogás has reached 15 years of operation in biogas, coinciding with a decade of accreditation from CGCRE for biochemical methane potential testing. Brazil now boasts 1,803 registered biogas plants, with over 1,700 in operation, producing approximately 4.96 billion Nm³ per year, marking a 15% annual growth in plant numbers and 13% in production volume over the last five years.
The Labiogás laboratory supports project viability through over 50,000 analyses and international service to clients in various countries. The lab’s accreditation ensures high standards of quality and impartiality, meeting the increasing demand for robust energy data. As the sector evolves towards biometano and new renewable molecules, the laboratory's role in connecting research with practical applications becomes critical.
