Alderney Government Projects Up to £20M Annually from Offshore Energy Development
The States of Alderney estimates offshore energy resources could generate £5m to £20m annually. The Marine and Energy Working Group's expanded mandate aims to oversee local renewable energy development, including offshore wind and tidal energy. A budget for 2026 has been approved to advance this initiative, focusing on a Marine Spatial Plan and securing electricity export routes.
