AlexFert Signs 30-Year Solar Power Agreement with SolarizEgypt
AlexFert has entered a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement with SolarizEgypt for 1 MW of solar energy, enhancing sustainability. This partnership aims to reduce energy costs and CO₂ emissions, marking a significant step in the industrial sector's transition to cleaner energy sources.

AlexFert has finalized a 30-year PPA with SolarizEgypt to deliver 1 MW of solar energy to its Alexandria facility. The project will yield approximately 1.58 GWh of clean electricity annually, decreasing reliance on the national grid by around 4.2% and preventing 718 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year, totaling an estimated 21,528 metric tons over the agreement's duration.
SolarizEgypt will finance and maintain the solar installation, allowing AlexFert to secure reliable energy without upfront costs. This initiative aligns with Valmore Holding’s strategy to enhance sustainability across its operations and improve operational efficiency. The agreement also complements AlexFert's ongoing efforts to adopt greener practices, including a recent collaboration with United Energy Group to explore green ammonia production.
