Alva Energy has launched with $33 million in Series A funding, targeting an increase of 10 gigawatts of electric power generation from existing U.S. nuclear reactors. The company’s technology can augment generation capacity by 200-300 MWe per reactor, offering a cost-effective and rapid solution compared to new nuclear plants.

The funding, led by Playground Global, will facilitate multiple project advancements and secure regulatory approvals from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Alva's approach aims to meet the growing power demands of industries, especially AI, without imposing costs on residential ratepayers.
