Amaravati to Host 77th Republic Day Celebrations on January 26, 2026
The 77th Republic Day celebrations will be held in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, on January 26, 2026, with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer as the chief guest. A dress rehearsal took place on January 24, featuring various contingents, and was inspected by officials including the Director-General of Police, who also received a guard of honour and unfurled the Tricolour.

The 77th Republic Day celebrations will take place in Amaravati, the core capital area of Andhra Pradesh, on January 26, 2026. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will be the chief guest, with Chief Minister N.
Chandrababu Naidu, ministers, High Court judges, and farmers involved in the capital project also in attendance. A dress rehearsal for the parade occurred on January 24, 2026, featuring contingents from the Indian Army, AP Special Police, CRPF, Kerala Armed Police, NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and Youth Red Cross.
The rehearsal was inspected by Director-General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta and General Administration Department Principal Secretary J. Shyamala Rao. The DGP received a guard of honour and unfurled the Tricolour during the event.
