Amazónica LNG Launches $150 Million Gas Supply Offer for Colombian Market
Amazónica LNG has launched a gas supply offer for the Colombian market, especially targeting the Caribbean region, with an estimated investment of $150 million. The terminal will operate starting in Q2 2027, achieving a capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day through two regasification trains and a dedicated LNG dock.
The company plans to implement a competitive pricing scheme to reduce short-term price volatility and ensure cost predictability. The gas will primarily be delivered to the National Transport System managed by Promigas in Barranquilla.
The project has secured environmental and port licenses, financing from Mitsubishi Financial Group, and an EPC contract with specialized firms. It will generate approximately 400 jobs and support over 100 local suppliers.
