Amazon Invests €10 Billion in European Fulfillment Network and AI Robotics
Amazon is investing €10 billion ($11.6 billion) in its European fulfillment network, introducing advanced AI robotics. The launch of 25 new sub-same-day delivery sites reflects the company's expansion strategy in Europe, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and delivery speed.

Amazon has announced a €10 billion investment in its European fulfillment network, which includes the introduction of the next-generation Proteus robot. This upgraded AI-powered mobile robot is set to operate across warehouse floors and is expected to arrive in Europe by the first half of 2027.
Additionally, Amazon plans to roll out more than 25 sub-same-day delivery sites across Europe this year, focusing on markets such as Britain and Germany. The company aims to enhance its logistics capabilities and customer experience as it expands its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to Manchester and Birmingham.
Furthermore, Alexa+, the next-generation AI assistant, is scheduled for launch in 10 more countries by 2027. This investment aligns with Amazon's forecast of a 50% increase in capital expenditure to $200 billion in the current year.
