Ambar Energia has finalized the acquisition of EDF's Norte Fluminense thermal power plant and the Norte Fluminense 2 project for about 1.4 billion reais ($263 million). This acquisition boosts Ambar's installed capacity to over 7 gigawatts (GW) and expands its portfolio to 56 generation units across 12 states, including various energy sources such as hydroelectric, solar, and natural gas.
