The U.S. Navy has awarded the joint venture RSI Amentum Environmental Solutions a $999 million demolition contract for environmental remediation at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. This indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, issued by NAVFAC Southwest on February 5, includes a two-year base period and three option periods, with work expected to finish by February 2031.

Amentum plans to use technologies such as 3D scanning and GIS mapping to enhance safety and efficiency. This contract builds on Amentum's existing relationships with the Navy, including a recent $656.4 million contract for base operating support.
