AML3D Reports A$16.5M Order Backlog, Targets US Defense Market with Wire-Arc 3D Printing

DEFENSE

AML3D has reported an order backlog of A$16.5 million for the half-year ending December 31, 2025, indicating potential growth in the second half of FY26. The company recorded a turnover of A$3.25 million, which is 30% lower than the previous year, due to delays in raw materials and extended project lead times.

However, orders have not been canceled. The company focuses heavily on the US market, generating 87% of its revenue from US customers, especially in defense and shipbuilding, with contracts for components related to the US Navy.

AML3D utilizes Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAM) for producing large metal parts, which reduces material loss and costs while ensuring compliance with defense standards. Additional growth may come from new contracts in the US utility sector and the UK defense market.
