Ammann Advances ABG Pavers and Asphalt Recycling in India
Ammann's expanded production of ABG pavers in India, achieving over 95% localization, positions the country as a key hub for global road equipment. The integration of connected technologies and high recycled asphalt content aims to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency in road construction.

Ammann's manufacturing facility in Gujarat is set to produce around 100 ABG pavers annually, with over 95% localization achieved, supporting both domestic and export markets. As India focuses on infrastructure development, with over ₹111 lakh crore allocated under the National Infrastructure Pipeline, the competitive landscape is shifting towards technology-based solutions rather than equipment ownership.
Ammann is addressing customer expectations by emphasizing digital diagnostics and predictive maintenance through its Plant Guard platform. Recycling efforts are also advancing, with up to 100% RAP integration in HRT batch plants, addressing challenges in mix durability and performance through innovative engineering solutions. The industry's focus is moving towards ensuring that recycled asphalt can match the performance of virgin materials, highlighting the importance of engineering over mere material percentages.
