Anambra State Invests ₦80 Million in 80 Startups to Boost Tech Economy
Anambra State has allocated ₦80 million to 80 startups to enhance its technology ecosystem. This funding is part of a larger initiative to create a sustainable tech economy and prepare young professionals for digital opportunities.

The Anambra State Government has invested ₦80 million into 80 startups, providing each with ₦1 million after completing a 12-week incubation program. This initiative, part of a broader strategy to establish Anambra as a technology hub, also celebrated the graduation of 400 professionals trained in robotics and network engineering, crucial for supporting the state's digital economy.
The Solution Innovation District (SID) reported that over 111 startups have benefited from various programs, while a ₦1 billion Connectivity Fund was announced to enhance broadband access across the state. These efforts aim to attract investment and create job opportunities, underpinning the state's ambition to compete in the global tech landscape.
