Andreessen Horowitz Raises $15 Billion for AI, Biotech, and Defense Investments
Andreessen Horowitz has raised over $15 billion in its largest funding round to date, aiming to invest in artificial intelligence, defense, and biotech sectors. This new capital, more than double its 2024 total, increases the firm's assets under management to over $90 billion.
Key allocations include $6.75 billion for its growth fund, $1.176 billion for the American Dynamism fund, and $1.7 billion each for its Apps and Infrastructure funds. The firm also raised $700 million for its Bio & Health fund and $3 billion for other venture strategies.
Andreessen Horowitz's fundraising represents approximately 18% of total U.S. venture capital raised in 2025. The firm emphasizes its commitment to ensuring American technological leadership in AI and crypto, alongside supporting startups that align with national interests.
