Andrej Babiš Supports Continuation of F-35 Fighter Jet Purchase Project
Andrej Babiš, leader of the ANO party, emphasized the importance of continuing the F-35 fighter jet purchase project after his visit to Čáslav air base, while seeking to renegotiate contract terms. President Petr Pavel supported the acquisition, noting that 18 NATO countries are also procuring the jets, and warned that reversing the decision could lead to the loss of advance payments. He highlighted the military's need to address personnel shortages through enhanced reserves and state-supported training for volunteers in critical roles.
