Anduril RMS Receives $43.7 Million DPA Funding for Solid Rocket Motor Production in Mississippi
Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) is progressing towards full-rate production of solid rocket motors at its McHenry, Mississippi facility, bolstered by a $43.7 million Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III award announced on 18 February. The funding will improve factory efficiency by expanding test fire infrastructure, increasing storage capacity, and acquiring production tooling.
The existing low-rate production facility is currently focused on development and qualification for various programs. Anduril has partnerships with Saab for the Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb and Boeing for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2, and has also secured a full-rate production contract with a European ally for a tactical air-defense system.
