Api Robotics Develops Smart Beehives to Enhance Pollination and Agricultural Productivity in Peru
Api Robotics, a startup from Junín, Peru, funded by ProInnóvate, has developed automated beehives that improve agricultural productivity by up to 30% and enhance pollinator protection. The technology features smart sensors that monitor bee health and pollination stages, benefiting over 10 hectares of crops and involving more than 5 million bees. The startup also recycles electronic waste in its production process. Api Robotics is currently working with five companies and three beekeeping associations.

Api Robotics, based in Junín, Peru, has created automated beehives that increase crop productivity by up to 30% while addressing the decline of pollinators due to climate change. Supported by ProInnóvate, the technology employs smart sensors to monitor bee health and optimize pollination.
The initiative has positively impacted over 100 beehives, involving approximately 5 million bees across more than 10 hectares of agricultural land. Api Robotics also incorporates recycled electronic waste in its operations.
The solution targets agricultural companies that require high levels of pollination. Currently, Api Robotics partners with five companies and three beekeeping associations to enhance pollination efficiency.
