Apollo Micro Secures Arms Manufacturing Licence in India
Apollo Micro Systems Limited has obtained a defence manufacturing licence from the Government of India, allowing the production of high-value weapon systems. This strategic milestone enables the company to transition from defence electronics to comprehensive weapon systems manufacturing.

Apollo Micro Systems Limited has been granted a lifetime arms manufacturing licence by the Government of India, enabling it to produce a range of advanced weapon systems, including missiles and torpedoes. The licence, issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, allows for annual production of up to 1,000 units per category, significantly enhancing the company's operational scope and potential revenue stream.
Manufacturing will occur at existing facilities in Hyderabad, supported by capabilities from its subsidiary, IDL Explosives Limited. This development positions Apollo as a key player in India's push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing, potentially impacting both domestic and export markets.
