AquaAirX Raises Rs 12.5 Crore to Develop Amphibious Robotics for Defense and Commercial Markets

AquaAirX, a Bengaluru-based startup, has secured Rs 12.5 crore in seed funding led by Rainmatter, with additional participation from Prime Venture Partners, Wyser, and India Accelerator. The funding will enhance the company's core technology in system autonomy and air-to-water transition reliability, and facilitate the expansion of engineering and research teams.

Founded in 2024 by Jitendra Kumar Purnmal Saini and Gouthami T S, AquaAirX specializes in autonomous amphibious and underwater robotic systems. The company aims to address maritime intelligence and surveillance needs with its amphibious drones and Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUV) platform. AquaAirX plans to expand partnerships and prepare for manufacturing to penetrate defense and commercial markets by 2027, having achieved Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 for its key platform.
