AquaGreen Receives €4M for Bio-Waste Technology Expansion
AquaGreen has obtained an investment of €4.026M from Nordic Alpha Partners and FMG Circular Invest AB to expand its bio-waste conversion technology. This funding supports the company's goal of deploying its HECLA technology, which transforms sewage sludge into biochar, enhancing energy recovery and reducing pollutants.

AquaGreen has secured €4.026M (30M DKK) from Nordic Alpha Partners and FMG Circular Invest AB to enhance its bio-waste conversion capabilities. The HECLA technology recovers 80% of biomass energy from sewage sludge while mitigating harmful emissions.
Initial installations are located in Zealand and Funen, with plans for a broader European rollout requiring approximately 5,000 HECLA units. This investment reflects a growing trend towards circular economy practices in wastewater management, responding to rising demands for sustainable agricultural and waste solutions.
