UAE-based developer Arada has acquired a site at 99-101 Newington Causeway in Southwark to develop a mixed-use scheme, including co-living accommodation and hotel space, pending planning approval. This site, previously occupied by the Salvation Army, is located near Elephant and Castle and is part of a significant regeneration area.

This marks Arada's third development in Southwark as part of its strategy to expand in the UK residential market, with a pipeline exceeding 16,000 homes and plans to increase this to 30,000 units. The project aligns with the New Southwark Plan, which focuses on increasing housing supply and supporting local regeneration efforts.
