Archangel Lightworks Launches World's Smallest Optical Ground Station for Secure Satellite Communication
Archangel Lightworks has successfully tested the TERRA-M, a compact optical ground station designed for secure data transmission with low Earth orbit satellites. This advancement supports global connectivity and national security, attracting significant investment and interest from international buyers, including Omantel.

Archangel Lightworks has completed trials of the TERRA-M, the smallest deployable operational optical ground station measuring 1.1m in height and 0.7m in diameter. The system meets U.S. Space Development Agency's laser communication standards and enables mobile deployment for rapid, secure communications with satellites.
The UK government has recognized this innovation for its potential to enhance global connectivity and national security. The company has attracted $20 million in investments, including $13.5 million from its Series A funding round.
International interest is also notable, with Omantel from Oman signing an agreement to expedite TERRA-M solutions. This technology addresses deployment challenges and offers applications in both commercial and defense sectors.
