Arkansas Governor Sanders Allocates $400K for Water Projects in Three Towns
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced over $400,000 in financial assistance for water and wastewater projects in Mansfield, Ratcliff, and Felsenthal, Arkansas. Mansfield received a $285,056 loan for emergency repairs to its wastewater treatment plant, benefiting 499 residents.
Ratcliff received $20,600 for water meter replacements, impacting 643 residents. Felsenthal was allocated a $100,000 loan for emergency water main repairs. This funding is part of the second phase of Executive Order 23-27, which aims to review and update the state's water resources and infrastructure.
The first phase was completed in 2024 with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The second phase is expected to conclude in summer 2025.
