Armasuisse Awards Multispectral Camouflage Contracts to Swiss and European Firms
The Federal Office for Defence Procurement, armasuisse, has awarded contracts for multispectral camouflage systems to Swiss and European manufacturers. This procurement is a key step in strengthening Switzerland's domestic security technology and ensuring compatibility with European defense systems.

Armasuisse has awarded contracts for multispectral camouflage systems to SSZ Camouflage AG (Switzerland), Saro GmbH (Germany), and Saab Barracuda AB (Sweden). The contracts, divided into 14 lots based on technical requirements, are aimed at enhancing troop protection by reducing optical, infrared, and radar signatures.
Testing was conducted from July to September at military sites with input from various Swiss armed forces branches. The decision aligns with the Federal Council's Armament Policy Strategy, which seeks to boost domestic security technology while increasing procurement from European partners. This approach enhances Switzerland's defense capabilities and supply chain resilience during crises.
