Armatrix Secures $2.1 Million Funding to Develop Snake-Like Robotic Arms for Industrial Applications
Bengaluru-based robotics startup Armatrix has raised $2.1 million in a funding round led by pi Ventures, with participation from Inuka Capital, Boundless Ventures, Boost VC, Turbostart, and gradCapital. The funds will be utilized to finalize product development of snake-like robotic arms designed for hazardous environments, expand R&D teams, and initiate pilot programs with industrial clients. Founded in 2024 by IIT Kanpur graduates, Armatrix focuses on creating adaptable robotic systems for inspection and maintenance in confined spaces.

Armatrix, a Bengaluru-based deep-tech robotics startup, has raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by pi Ventures, with participation from several investors. The funds will be used to complete the development of snake-like robotic arms capable of operating in hazardous industrial environments.
The 3-5 metre robotic arms have over 22 degrees of freedom and are designed to perform inspection and maintenance tasks without requiring human entry into confined spaces. Armatrix aims to scale its technology and establish partnerships with early industrial customers across sectors like oil and gas and shipbuilding. The long-term goal is to provide an end-to-end solution for industrial maintenance using AI-driven control systems.
