Armenia Receives Nuclear Power Unit Proposals from Rosatom
Rosatom has submitted proposals to Armenia for the construction of a new nuclear power unit in Metsamor, contingent on Armenia's decision. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is exploring options for a small modular reactor and is in discussions with various countries, while Rosatom is also working to extend the operational life of unit 2 at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, which currently provides 39% of the nation's electricity.
