Armenia's Defense Spending to Surge 5.4 Times from Previous Two Decades by 2025
Armenia's military expenditure for weapons and equipment in 2022-2025 is projected to be 5.4 times higher than the total from the previous 20 years, according to Defense Minister Suren Papikyan. The defense budget is set to rise from 245 billion drams in 2018 to 664 billion drams (approximately $1.74 billion) by 2025.

He noted that from 1998 to 2018, defense spending was significantly lower. The defense budget increased from 245 billion drams in 2018 to a projected 664 billion drams (around $1.74 billion) by 2025, marking an increase of approximately $1.1 billion over the past seven years.
