Army & Air Force Exchange Service Invests $92 Million in Quality-of-Life Projects at Remote Installations
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is allocating nearly $92 million for Quality-of-Life projects at remote military installations from mid-May 2024 through 2026, expanding on a successful pilot program initiated in 2020. Enhancements will include upgrades to PXs, Expresses, and dining facilities, with Fort Hood added to the list of targeted installations. This investment follows the Exchange's generation of $492 million in dividend-eligible earnings in 2024, contributing to a decade-long total of $15 billion in value for the military community.

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is investing nearly $92 million in Quality-of-Life projects at remote and isolated military installations from mid-May 2024 through 2026. This initiative builds on the Army's pilot program launched in 2020 at Forts Irwin, Polk, and Wainwright, which has already seen significant improvements, including upgrades to PXs, Expresses, and dining facilities.
Fort Hood has been added as a fourth installation for similar enhancements. In 2024, the Exchange generated $492 million in dividend-eligible earnings, with $295 million allocated for Quality-of-Life programs. Over the last decade, the Exchange has provided $15 billion in value to the military community, ensuring that facilities meet brand standards with updated signage, flooring, and dining options to support service members and their families.
