Army and AMTEC Launch New 40mm Grenade Production Line in Wisconsin
The Army has partnered with AMTEC Corporation to inaugurate a new 40mm grenade production line and test range at AMTEC's facility in Janesville, Wisconsin, with a $21 million investment. The facility features a 200-meter indoor test range and a 72,000-square-foot manufacturing area, enhancing training safety and supporting precision testing for medium-caliber munitions for the Army and its international allies.

The Army partnered with AMTEC Corporation to open a new 40mm grenade production line and test range at AMTEC's Janesville, WI facility, marking a step in modernizing the Defense Industrial Base. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on January 22nd, attended by key military and political figures.
The Army invested $21M in this facility, which includes a 200m indoor test range and a 72,000-square-foot manufacturing area. The M918E2 cartridge enhances training safety and allows realistic training scenarios. The new test range will improve precision testing for medium-caliber munitions, supporting the Army and its international allies.
