Army Awards $15.3M Contract to Quantum Systems for Vector AI Reconnaissance Platform
Quantum Systems Inc. has received a $15.3 million contract from the U.S. Army to supply its Vector AI platform for Brigade Combat Teams. This initiative aims to enhance tactical reconnaissance capabilities through advanced uncrewed aircraft systems.

The U.S. Army has awarded Quantum Systems Inc. a $15.3 million contract under the Company-Level small uncrewed aircraft systems initiative for its Vector AI platform. This electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) system offers features such as rapid deployment by a single operator, anti-jamming capabilities, and real-time processing for reconnaissance missions.
The Vector AI system integrates seamlessly with existing Army software architectures and is part of a modernization strategy to improve uncrewed system capabilities. Key specifications include a maximum takeoff weight of 21 pounds, an operational range exceeding 60 kilometers, and flight endurance of over 180 minutes.
The platform's modular architecture allows for quick payload integration and supports various battlefield management networks. Its development is expected to inform future tactical uncrewed aircraft systems, enhancing the Army's operational readiness in contested environments.
