The U.S. Army has extended its contract with Optimal Solutions and Technologies Inc. (OST) for training systems support through August 2027, increasing the total contract value to $525.7 million.
Originally awarded in 2017 for $248 million, the contract has seen multiple extensions, including a $90 million extension in February 2022 and a $97.4 million extension in October 2023. The current extension adds $90.3 million and reflects adjustments to the Army's acquisition strategy and compliance with Trump administration policies. The Army indicated that changes in requirements necessitated the extension to avoid negatively impacting training for U.S. troops and allies.
