ARRAPI Calls for Increased Activation of AFP Reservists Amid Global Security Tensions
The Association of Reservists and Reservist Administrators of the Philippines Inc. (ARRAPI) is urging the activation and integration of more AFP reservists to strengthen the country's defense posture in light of global security tensions.
With around 180,000 active-duty personnel, the Philippines aims to build a Total Defense Force of up to one million by mobilizing Ready and Standby Reserve components. ARRAPI highlights the importance of organizing reserves as operational extensions of the regular force, advocating for command alignment, institutionalized mobilization protocols, and joint exercises. The organization also calls for specialized competencies within the reserves to ensure operational continuity during national emergencies.
